Workshops

Our £15 weekly workshops are designed to strengthen the skills that make the biggest difference in English — confidence, structure, and clarity of thought.

Each session focuses on one core area, such as planning strong essays, analysing texts with precision, or writing under exam conditions. Topics change weekly, so students can dip in when they need targeted support or use workshops to reinforce what they’re learning in tutoring.

  • We specialise in English for KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, covering both Language and Literature across all major exam boards.

  • Yes. All tutors undergo a DBS check and a thorough vetting process, including academic verification and teaching experience checks.

  • Lessons take place via Zoom, Google Meet, Lessonspace, or another platform chosen by the tutor. You’ll receive a link for each session.

  • We consider the student’s year group, exam board, goals, learning needs, and availability to select the most suitable English specialist.

  • No. Tutors provide the lesson link, and students can join via laptop, desktop, or tablet with internet access.

  • We ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Lessons cancelled with sufficient notice will not be charged and can be rescheduled at the tutors discretion.

  • Yes — tutors may provide optional worksheets, reading tasks, or exam practice depending on the student’s goals. Additionally, students can attend one of our weekly workshops for a small fee.

  • Yes. After every session, your tutor writes a short report through TutorCruncher summarising progress and next steps.

  • Most students are matched with a tutor within 24–48 hours. During peak exam season, this may take slightly longer.

  • Absolutely. If you feel the tutor isn’t the right fit, we will rematch your child quickly.

  • They need a stable internet connection and access to a computer or tablet. A notebook and pen are also helpful.

  • Yes. Please mention any SEND needs on the contact form so we can match you with an experienced tutor.
